St. Paul the Apostle Parish has resumed our ministry to the resident-inmates of Penobscot County Jail (PCJ). We are fulfilling this corporal and spiritual work of mercy, sharing the Good News of forgiveness and freedom found in Christ Jesus with the men and women detained at PCJ.

God may be calling you to assist our Jail Ministry. We go in pairs to share our faith with our brothers and sisters who are incarcerated. Please consider joining us for this powerful ministry.
We are looking for volunteers to lead the Prayer Groups
- Groups typically gather on Saturday mornings and one or two weekday evenings, for about an hour.- The Bible readings and discussion prompts will be provided to you.
- The same format is followed for each session.
Opening prayer
Read and discuss the three Bible passages which will be read at Sunday Mass the coming weekend.
The group will discuss a Catholic question of the week.
Closing prayers: Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, and the Apostle’s Creed.
If you have one hour per month, and enjoy talking to others about Jesus, please volunteer!
